On the evening of Thursday 26th November, we were delighted to host our annual Sports Presentation Awards Evening.
We are always proud of recognising great sporting achievement from our pupils over the past year.
Our guest speakers included ex-Darwen Vale High School pupils, Ryan Walmsley and Calvin Ferguson.
Ryan has been very busy with his charity work for Derian House and Calvin presented about representing Great Britain at Futsal this summer, whilst suffering from diabetes.
The message from both speakers relating to never giving up even under adversity.
Some of the highlights from the night were our super Y8 boys athletics team who won both indoor and outdoor athletics competitions and individual awards to Rio Alston (Y7) and Leah Hoole (Y9) who were crowned town champions for cross country.
