On the evening of Thursday 21st November Darwen Vale High School had the pleasure of inviting the class of 2019 back into school along with their parents to celebrate their KS4 achievements.
The summer of 2019 saw the best ever GCSE grades DVHS has ever seen and this was down to the commitment of both the pupils and the staff involved. On the evening the pupils picked up rewards for their dedication to school life, support of charities, progress within subjects and commitment towards their GCSEs.
Current Year 11 pupils also received awards for their progress in Year 10. The evening was supported by a number of High profile VIPs who were eager to share in the pupils successes. Chef Nigel Haworth was also on site to support and award pupils. He spoke on the evening about grasping opportunities as they arise.
DVHS would like to congratulate the class of 2019 and are excited to celebrate the outcomes of 2020.
