
Darwen Vale High School is celebrating unprecedented success in this year’s GCSE results.
In many of the subjects, the class of 2022 has outperformed the class of 2019, the last time any external examinations were sat.
Subjects performing particularly well were English and Mathematics where 77 per cent of students achieved a grade 4 or above in English and 73 per cent achieved the threshold in Mathematics, both ahead of the 2019 national pass rate.
