Vale’s New Principal Announced
Matthew Little, currently Vice Principal of South Shore Academy, Blackpool, has been announced as Darwen Vale’s new permanent Principal.
As Vice Principal Matthew has played a key role in South Shore achieving record GCSE results last August. Prior to that he was Vice Principal of Kearsley Academy in Bolton and has been a Deputy Headteacher at both George Tomlinson High School, Bolton, and Harrop Fold High School in Salford.
The post was advertised nationally in December following the retirement of Fiona Jack at the end of last summer term. David Hallam will continue as Interim Principal until Matthew starts at the beginning of June.
