On Friday 6th October 2017 at 3:30 in the Main Hall, 10 of our super talented students came to battle it out to see who would be crowned winner of the most prestigious singing competition on the country!
With 4 judges and a packed crowd our singers took to the stage to show their talents and voices.
What an amazing night. We had duets, ukuleles, guitars and some of the most beautiful voices we’ve heard.
The audience sang along and cheered on their favourites with banners and holding up their torches on those ballad songs. As always it was an amazingly successful night and one of our favourites of the Year.
The winner was Lucy Ashworth singing ‘When I was your man’. 2nd place went to Kenzi Blakey singing ‘Yours’ and the judges couldn’t decide between the runners up, so 3 people took 3rd place. Ammaarah Sidat on her ukelele singing ‘Titanium’ Rosalie Purser and her guitar singing ‘Tree and a bench’ and Dominic Moore singing ‘A thousand years’
Well done to all our contestants and a huge thank you goes to our presenters Emmie Bond and Maddie Shaw Mackay. What a wonderful night. Cannot wait for next year!
