Students Celebrate GCSE Success

Congratulations to all of our students collecting GCSE results today. Overall the school number of students obtaining 5 or more GCSEs at A*-C Grades, including English and maths, rose again this year to 51.5%.

Acting Principal David Hallam said: “As a school, we are pleased with our continued trend of improvement.  This set of results represents our best outcomes over the last 3 years.  I would like to thank staff and parents for their contributions but, in particular, the students for all their hard work and commitment over the last 5 years.  Well done!”

“The number of students gaining 3 or more A*-As has risen for the second consecutive year and there are, as always, a number of stand out performances.  Although we are keen to congratulate everyone on their successes throughout this year, a special mention goes to those students who achieved the top grades possible in their subject areas.  Tyler Haworth, Hannah Whalley and Amy Barclay all achieved 9A*-As.”

” We are extremely proud of our Class of 2016!”
