Performing Arts Summer School at The Lowry

For the second year running Darwen Vale’s finest Performing Arts students spent an amazing week at The Lowry exploring the art of Musical Theatre with the amazing Barbara Hockaday and Contemporary Dance with Jamilla Moore.  Both practitioners guided our pupils to produce outstanding performances and allowed them explore their unique gifts and talents further.

On Friday afternoon in front of the Lowry staff and parents, our magnificent pupils performed their work with their usual style and grace.  Extracts from Grease, Little Shop of Horrors and Seuss the musical, as well as a contemporary dance show left our audience incredibly impressed.

A huge thanks goes out to our parents for their continued support, and also The Lowry staff for making it such an amazing week for our pupils.

We posted lots of photos throughout the week on the @DVHSCreate twitter feed so please follow to see how everyone got on.
