Darwen Vale Working With Healthwatch

This week winners of the Amplify Branding Quiz were awarded a £10 voucher during the monthly drop-in at Darwen Vale High School were (L – R)  Jamie Abbott, Adam Smith and Peter Sharples, seen here with Danielle Bolchover (Amplify Volunteer), Katrina Leigh (PATH & Family Centre Coordinator).

Amplify is Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen’s Young Persons Project. The project listens to the views of young people, allowing them to have their voice heard on the health and social care issues affecting them. Healthwatch BwD also provides students with information on local services which helps them stay happy, healthy & feeling good.

Over 100 students took part in the Amplify Branding Workshop at Darwen Vale’s Super Learning Day. Healthwatch BwD had to pick 5 winners from the excellent designs and ideas, which will now be used to create official branding ready for its official launch in April. Students also told Healthwatch how services can improve the language and engagement methods to reach young people.
