Budgeting for the Future at Avondale Primary!
Eight year 9 pupils spent Friday afternoon teaching year 6 pupils at Avondale Primary about the importance of budgets and financial planning. This was the second lesson in a series on Debt Awareness. The pupils now know how to set a family budget and hopefully keeping them with a budget surplus.
Local MP, Jake Berry was on hand to explain the present National budget position. He was able to join in and experience 13 year olds, teaching 10 year olds, lessons in life.
Other groups of pupils will be going into different primaries in the coming weeks to teach the same lessons. Many thanks, to the Debt Advice Foundation for their help in running the course.
